Ashish Ahuja leads to WSOP Day 2 of Event#16: $1,500 NLHE

On 5th June at Rio it was quite a busy day as eight bracelet events were running along with each other at the venue. Two members from Team India are running deep in Event #3: BIG 50 – $500 No-Limit Hold’em. Another major event that witnessed copious Indian participation was Event #16: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em 6 handed.

Many Indians were seen in action, but only four of them managed to pull through to Day 2. Leading from the front was Ashish Ahuja who bagged a stack of 237,500 followed by Siddharth Mundada (225,000), Nipun Java (137,500), and Sriharsha Doddapaneni (45,000).

Aditya Agarwal, Muskan Sethi, and Dhaval Mudgal had also joined the action of Day 1 but were unsuccessful in advancing to Day 2. Richard Hasnip (559,000) grabbed onto the overnight chip lead and will be returning to the felts of the Amazon Room later tonight with the largest stack among 289 survivors.
