Kunal Patni leads 5 Indians at WSOP Day 2C of Big 50

The Event #3: The Big 50- $500 NLHE of Day 1C concluded and with every other starting flight so far, here are some Indians progressing in major tournament. With low buy-in, a new WSOP world record was set as around 1,700 entries played the third flight taking the total of 13,700+ entries.

Day 2 flights was also running simultaneously and had 4 Indians progress to Day 3: two from Day 2A and two from Day 2B. In Day 1C, there was a total of 4 Indians progressing to 2C-Kunal Patni, Sriharsha Doddapaneni, Prashray Rai and Kartik Ved and Deepak Bothra. Day 2C will be on played today i.e. on 3rd June.

Leandro Padilla took the overnight chip lead with 1,184,000 chips while other big names busted during the day including Dan Shak, Daniel Negreanu, Maria Ho, Phil Hellmuth and others. The Rio Convention Center was packed to capacity and witnessed a new WSOP record, with one full flight yet to be played.

The Indian contingent progressed to Day 2C are highly accomplished players in Indian live and online circuit. Patni and Doddapaneni are some of the best in the country. Prashray Rai has become one of the better known poker entrepreneurs in India
