We spoke about Rui Cao winning his first Triton poker title and now we have another event that crowned the first time winner. It Malaysia’s Hing Yaung Chow who wins the Triton Montenegro Event #8: HKD 200k PLO. After final tabling two Triton Poker Tournaments, finally he was able to ship and bag not just the first live title, but also the biggest cash of his career. He earned HKD 2,640,000 ($336,383) for this win.
In this 2-day event, it was US pro Ben Lamb who held the overnight lead which was also the first time that Triton hosted a PLO event in the history. He was all set to take down the title but it was Chow who played the game and get the victory.
The event attracted 37 entries including 15 re-entries were the part of the field and 9 survived the first day. When they returned om Day 2 at the Maestral Resort and Casino, only 5 of them end up making the money. Lamb began with the lead in the heads-up, but in a short time Chow’s relentless aggression gave him the lead. The lead shifted a few time back and forth and finally, Chow crowned the champion.
