The Borgata Spring Poker Championship declared its Main Event winner. The $2,700 event attracted 505 entries advertising a guarantee of $1 million in prize pool. USA’s David Jackson won his largest live score by shipping it for $304,929 (INR 2.11 Crores) as first-place prize money.
The final day of the event saw the whittled down field of 6 play for the kill-shot top prize. The day began with Andrew Dudley and Michel Cohen having stacks under 15 BBs. Everyone else on the table was with over 40 BBs. They both got railed first on the table.
Eventually, heads-up began between Jackson and Shannon Shorr. Shorr had over 6:1 chip lead over Jackson, which makes Jackson’s win. He made a comeback by doubling with King-queen over Queen-jack.The final hand of the tournament saw a huge pot being created. Eventually, Jackson beat his opponent with Eights over Queen-high failed bluff. Shorr settled for $171,448 to his name after the win.
