The Asia Pacific Poker Tour is currently underway at Paradise City, Incheon. This edition of APPT Korea began on 5th April and the 21-event series has crowned many winners. The KRW 700k APPT National started with two flights. The second flight of Day 1B attracted 213 total entries. The field whittled down to 50 players who have now qualified for Day 2.
China’s Yan Li finished the day accumulating 366,500 stack. She is followed by USA’s Michael Bloch with 264k chips. The top 10 chip counts also include Thai pro Phachara Wongwichit with 174k chips. India’s Yasheel Doddanavar was running on Day 1B and finished with a stack of 142k. He finished 10th in chip counts and 16th overall going into Day 2. Another Indian Meherzad Munsaf was also running in the race but didn’t quality.
Jack Wu, the former Asia Player of the Year who progresses on Day 1B. Celina Lin was the only PokerStars Team Pro who played the National, but couldn’t finish the day with a stack. Mike Takayama, current Asia POY, Pete Chen-former Asia POY, Natalie Teh progressed to Day 2.
