The Asian Pacific Poker Tour began with a bang at Paradise City in the city of Incheon. The series is scheduled from 5th to 14th April. It started off with APPT Kickoff KRW 50 million GTD and also declared its winner.
The event attracted 420 entries to the felts with a KRW 2,129,000 (1.29 Lakhs) going to the winner of the tournament. China’s Xing Biao Zhu topped this field and bagged the first cash prize, the trophy and the title after cutting 3-way deal with Yifan Zhang and Ren Hao Bai. Zhang earned KRW 1,8900,000 and Bai KRW 1,8000,000.
Zhu began the battle with a chip deficit of 1:2. It was one-sided entering heads-up, but the tables were soon turned when he came-back, building on the momentum. He won two decisive pots and gained the valuable chip, which he held till the end. In the last hand of the tournament, Zhang was packing Ace-jack suited, leading Zhu’s King-trey offsuit. The flop revealed a King and that was enough to seal the deal for Zhu.
