The European Poker Tour Sochi 2019 went into books with RUB 371,000 EPT High Roller declaring its champion at Casino Sochi, Russia. Aditya Sushant and Kartik Ved were among the 84 runners in the event.
Only 11 players were paid. Sushant and Ved played great but couldn’t figure out the top 11 and also didn’t receive a pay-check. Azerbaijan’s Rushad Iskandarov was the player to emerge on the top for RUB 7,840,000 (INR 83.01 Lakhs) as the first cash prize. He defeated Elvin Sarkarov who also hails from Azerbaijan. A total of 9 contestants were fighting for the top prize. Daniil Kiselev busted on the first hand, later Isrhat Shaykhov busted by the hands of Maksim Bukreev.
Ramon Colillas hit then rail next at 7th for RUB 1,368,500. In the final hand, Sarkarov was eliminated after bluffing all on the river with a pair against Iskandarov’s trip Fives. Sarkarov settled for RUB 5,579,000 (INR 83 .01 Lakhs) as runner-up cash prize.
