The 2019 Deltin Poker Tournament February edition has kicked off in India. It will run from 7th February to 11TH February at Casino Deltin Royale in Goa. Ankit Kapoor, the ₹35K Main Event champion arrived in style. He has built quite a resume of live scores and many be considered as the new star on the block. Starting with his maiden live score came in last year’s ₹35K Main Event at the DPT July edition. At the event, he finished 20th for ₹1.32 Lakhs and worked methodically to improve his game.
Now his hard work and dedication have paid off. Now his poker career boasts a total of four final tables. Among these, two came at World Poker Tour India last year. It was at this year’s DPT February edition that he truly came into his own. He performed really well in the series opener, the ₹15K Deep Dive. Unfortunately, he didn’t bag the first live title in the event and finished 3rd for ₹2.90 Lakhs. He made up for it by taking down ₹35K Main Event for ₹22.50 Lakhs.
