Currently the PPPoker World Championship Main Event is underway at the Resorts World Manila. Day 2 started with 130 survivors with PHP 4,850,000 (₹66.30 Lakhs) top prize, but only 16 of them managed to reach the next level. India’s one of our first Young Gun’s and first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant was a strong contender for the title, but unfortunately it was not his day. He got unlucky on the last hand where his pocket aces were cracked by Mark Amparo’s set of queens. With Sushant’s elimination (17th for ₹2.12 Lakhs) the game was halted for the day.
Kalyan Chakravarthy (57th for ₹1.08 Lakhs) and Abhinav Iyer (34th for ₹1.16 Lakhs) were the other Indian challengers who played pretty well. While Rishab Jain and Jasven Saigal hit the rail empty-handed. Only Rajeev Kanjani was able to carry a stack to Day 3.
The day completely belonged to the Filipinos. Seven out of 10 top stacks heading into Day 3 are locals and Lester Edoc emerged as the chip leader with 1,888,000. Mike Andillo Takatama with 1,802,000 chips followed him. The other big stacks included Marquez Richard Serrano (1,294,000), Garberg Markus (1,188,000), Foo Hsien Loong (1,098,000).
