Currently, the PPPoker WORLD Championship Main Event is underway at the Resorts World Manila. It had three starting flights which are already done and dusted. Day 1C drew 176 entries that take a total field size to 383 entries. It saw many Indian players battling to make the cut for Day2. Sumit Sapra, Sajal Gupta and Rishab Jain were seen in action. Jain was also part of Team India at the PPWC Teams Event and was the only Indian to carry his stack of 48,300 to Day2.
On Day2, Jain will join Abhinav Iyer, Day1A chip leader (230,400), Kalyan Chakravarthy (206,200), Aditya Sushant (116,200) and Jasven Saigal (19,800)-all qualifying from Day1A. Rajeev Kanjani with 82,800 is also included who qualified from Day1B of the event.
Topping the 62 survivors on Day1C was Russia’s Denis Cheremisin with 209,300. Gabriel Dominic Carter (205,000) and Angel Jao Kabigting (192,400) followed him. The other big stacks were Rundulf Martin (187,900), Simon Burns (182,700) and Ho Duy Manh (181,200).
Alpheus Chan (273,500) Day1B chip leader will begin the proceedings on Day2 as the overall chip leader among the 130 survivors from all three starting flights.
