Team India: a strong contingent of 10 Indian challengers in Teams Event at PPPoker World Championship

Poker players all over the world were keenly waiting for the PPPoker World Championship 2019. It was scheduled between 15 to 21 February 2019 in Manila. Many tournaments are lined and   Teams Event is one of them where 10 countries were set to participate.

Each Team entered the tournament with a PHP 550,000 Buy-In ($10,400) and will be contesting to be a part of PHP 10 million prize pool. Among them, only 8 of them managed to progress to Day2.

Team India consisted of Kalyan Chakravarthy, Akshay Nasa, Pulkit Totla, Rishab Jain, Sahil Agarwal, Sajal Gupta, Abhinav Iyer and Aditya Sushant. The teams were to compete in 3 different formats -6 Max SnG, double heads-up and heads-up. Points for SnG event:

1st: 30 points

2nd:19 points

3rd:13 points

Team Malaysia was on fire, ending at the top of the table with a huge lead at 178 points at the end of the day. Unfortunately, Team India couldn’t make it to Day2, being one of the two teams to be eliminated with Team Chinese Taipei.
