The Asia Pacific Poker Tour(APPT) is back for 2019. A couple days ago, the schedule for two stops have been announced by PokerStars LIVE. Last year, four APPT series were hosted, one in Incheon, South Korea, two in Macau and the last in Manila in August where Indian players ran deep and cashed high.
Now, PokerStars has announced the APPT Korea to take place between 5th and 14th April 2019 in Paradise City, Incheon. The highlight of the series is KRW 1.8 million Main Event that will offer a guarantee of KRW 300 million (INR 1.91 Crores). Defending champion and Natural Pro Michael Soyza will probably be in the race to defend his title.
Few of the marquee tournaments will be hosted in APPT Korea include APPT Kickoff (5 &6 April), APPT National (7&8 April) and APPT High Roller (13&14 April) Its buy-in will be KRW 5 Million. The players with high stakes regulars and deep pockets will get a chance to compete for higher prizes in the APPT High Super High Roller on 10th April after coughing up the KRW 10 million buy-in.
APPT Manila is back again this year and will run between 26th July to 4th August 2019 at the Okada Manila, Philippines. The key tournaments in its line-up are PHP 16k APPT Kickoff, PHP 500k APPT Super High Roller and PHP 33k APPT National. the PHP 65k APPT Manila Main Event will begin on 1st August and will end on 4th August. A total of PHP 20 million is guaranteed for the tournament.
Last year in APPT Manila saw many Indian contingent consisting of many top pros from the country. While Singapore’s Wilson Lim took down the Main Event, well-known Indian pros like Adda52 Pro Kunal Patni, Jaydeep Dawer, Sahil Agarwal, Sahil Chutani, Varun Gupta, Jasven Saigal and Akshay Nasa made pretty deep runs in several tournaments. Another accomplished player Chiraag Patel shipped the NLH Turbo for over INR 4.5 Lakhs.
