Team India wins another event at the Asian Poker Tour Vietnam 2019-the Championship Event. Nine Indian challengers had qualified for Day 2 from the two starting flights with Aditya Sushant and Nishant Sharma joining late before the start of Day 2. Late registration for the Championship Event was open for the first hour of Day 2. The 109 players who returned to the felts were joined by an additional 26 late entries on Day2. However, it became a total entry of 248 for the event and collected the prize pool of ₹2,57,93, 160.Only 25 of them are assured payouts with the eventual champion set to walk home with ₹62,51,131. Only Aditya Sushant and Nishant Sharma were the only Indians among the 26 entries.
As the proceedings for Day 2 came to a close, three Indians marched on to Day 3. Romit Advani holds the largest stack amongst them with 218,000, Kunal Patni with 176,000 and Madhav Gupta carries the shortest stack of 133,000. After eight levels of rigorous play only Romit Advani, Kunal Patni and Madhav Gupta remain in contention.
Ajitpal Singh, Indian-origin player bagged the biggest Day 2 stack of 915,000 with Lim Yohwan with 856,000 and Stephen Schumacher with 845,000 who make up the top three stacks coming into Day 3.
