Eunho Kwon leads Final 8 in Championships Event at APT Vietnam 2019

The Day 3 of the Asian Poker Tour(APT) Vietnam started with 34 players gunning it to the final table and among them were 3 Indian challengers- Romit Advani, Kunal Patni and Madhav Gupta. They managed to breach the money line, but, unfortunately fell shy of the final table. Advani was the first one of them to depart in 18th place for ₹3.14 Lakhs. While Patni were in 16th place for ₹3.14 Lakhs and Gupta in 15th for ₹3.76 Lakhs. Thus, bringing an end to Team India’s run in the Championships Event.

Huu Dung Nguyen was the first elimination of the day with Son Nguyen, Phachara Wongwichit and Tuan Monaco following him. Level 17 saw many more eliminations while other players chipped up including Team India’s Madhav Gupta and Kunal Patni.

Hong Kon0067’s Kwok Ting Shum was the first one to finish in the cash when he was eliminated in 25th place for ₹2,18,075. The next player to get eliminated was Madhav Gupta. Following the eliminations of Ajitpal Singh (10th for ₹5,42,640) and Erik Billgren (9th for ₹6,51,170), the 8 handed final table was set up. Other notables who finished in the money include Linh Tran (11th for ₹4,52,201), Chi Chung Ho (12th for ₹4,52,201), Nam Nguyen (13th for ₹3,76,833) and Nguyen Chi Thinh (14th for ₹3,76,833).

Eunho Kwon, Korean pro collected the largest stack of the day with 2,510,000 in chips. Slaven Popov with 2,495,000 and Dragon Chinh with 2,215,000 were close on his coattails.
