7 Indians survive at APT Vietnam Championships Event Day 1A

Team India is still going strong with the Asian Poker Tour Vietnam 2019 mere days from wrapping up. Abhinav Iyer’s winning the Main Event title not only brought India its first International title of the year, but it also seems to have opened the floodgates with many more Indian scores pouring in.

Many Indians decided to enter the Championship Event which boasts of a VND  6 Billion guarantee (₹1.84 crores). The Day 1A of the Championship Event registered 124 entries in total.  Out of 123 entries, only 60 players survived after the day end. Among those players making Day 2 from the first starting flight, 7 are Indian challengers and they are led by Vinod Megalmani with 123,400 chips.  Megalmani is followed by Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni with 102,900 chips. Other Indians include Madhav Gupta (100,400 chips), Eka Vedantham (86,800), Shravan Chhabria (79,600), Aditya Sushant (79,400), and Dhaval Mudgal (61,100).

All of them, will be trailing Vietnam’s Dinh Xuan Dinh who ended the day with the biggest stack i.e.  245,900 chips.  The other big stacks included Duy Thanh Dang (213,800), Lim Yo Hwan (205,900), Nguyen Tuan Anh (194,800), Erik Billgren (194,500) and Kyung Kun Lee (183,800).
