Indian Young Gun Abhinav Iyer leads the chips count in the GTD Main Event at the Asian Poker Event 2019 Vietnam. Only 8 players are left in the final table and Abhinav Iyer leads with 4,825,000 in chips. He entered the Main Event through Day 1B and made a cut in Day 2 with 107,100. He held his nerves till the third day and collected 272,500 stack at the end of Day 2. Finally, he kept moving on Day 3. He emerged as the leader after 8 hours of play after eliminating players Duy Ho and Phan Dinh Nam.
Only 6 players progressed to Day 3. Meherzad Munsaf finished 58th for ₹1.16 lakhs, Dhaval Mudgal finished 49th for ₹1.40 lakhs and Eka Vedantham finished 45th for ₹1.68 lakhs. While Vinod Meglamani and Jason Pereira hit the rail empty handed.
On Day 3, only 77 players entered the action which included 6 Indians. It was Abhinav Iyer who kept the hopes for APT Vietnam Main Event alive with a commendable 272,500 stack. He was one of the biggest stacks around during 20. He won a big pot against Dang Dinh Hoang, but he also lost some chips to Do Hung Son and came down to 770,000.
Abhinav Iyer bagged the biggest stack and will start the final day with 4,825,000 over twice the number of chips as his rival Mai Te who will start the final table with 2,105,000.
