Quang Nguyen bags 164,000 chips on Day 1B of Main Event of APT Vietnam 2019

The APT Kickoff Vietnam 2019 – Main Event 1B attracted a much larger field with 152 runners. It was full of drama as the players fought hard to make it through to Day 2. By the end of the scheduled 9 rounds, only 63 of them survived and leading the pack was Vietnam’s Quang Nguyen with 164,000 chips.

We saw six Indians making it through to Day 2, while Day 1B added another 4 Indian challengers to the list. Headlining the ten Indian players who have progressed through to Day 2 is Manish Lakhotia with 108,100 chips. Meherzad Munsaf (107,700) picked up two scores at the series so far. Young Gun Abhinav Iyer (95,200) and Vinod R.  Megalmani (69,000) are the Indian pros who made the cut for Day 2. These four will join the Day1A Survivors-Aditya Sushant, Akash Malik, Nishant Sharma, EkaVedantham, Siddharth Jain and Siddharth Kapoor. It brought a total of 257 entries with 105 among them making it to Day 2.

Ray Chui took down the Dafabet Head Hunter event and Russia’s Alex Okruzhnoy and Chung Yin Chan claimed the High Rollers Single Day and NLH Single Day events.
