Needless, to mention this is of huge impact as it will fortify the league as a potent marketing platform for all businesses whether relative to poker or others.

Moreover, there’s more grand news to this, the winner of the Indian edition of GPL will get a chance to play at the World Championship of the GPL against other teams like Canada, USA, Europe, China etc. in The Cube at Las Vegas.
As per worldwide rankings, the Global Poker League is ranked as the third major franchise-based poker league that is all set to commence in India, and it may just be the next big hit after the raging success of PSL (Poker Sports League) followed by the recently held Match IPL (Match Indian Poker League) introduced by Raj Kundra.

The founder of GPL, Alexander Dryfus revealed in an official statement that all the regional leagues “will offer to act as a promotional platform for poker as a sport throughout the country and help connect India into the game’s worldwide enthusiastic community, both through connections of GPL’s main global league along with GPL China and other international leagues in the near future”.

It is well evident that Indian poker community has much high expectations from the league as it will help to build nationwide awareness about the mind sport of poker and will also be a great platform to showcase the Indian poker players’ skills.
